In the Netherlands there is an opium list, which is a list split in 2 categories with drugs that are considered dangerous, like Cocaine amfetamine MDMA, and drugs that are considered less dangerous like Cannabis, mushrooms and sleeping aids. Every year tens of new substances appear on the market in Europe; substances that actually have stimulating, psychotropic or narcotic effects, but that do not yet fall under the Dutch opium list, these are called designer drugs.
